Day 4
Lead with your heart.
Allow for the intelligence of your heart to unite with the intelligence of your mind…
The Heart Chakra is the fourth wheel of energy and is the bridge between the three physical chakras and the three spiritual chakras. It’s the first Chakra of the higher level where personal consciousness transmits to the level of collective reality.
By balancing and aligning the first three chakras, the fourth chakra is able to integrate and open. Thus, each wheel must spin simultaneously in order to remain in balance.
The fourth chakra represents everything that involves love, compassion, and joy. It’s one of the most beautiful yet emotional chakras for people to tap into.
When this chakra is balanced, love, compassion, forgiveness, and acceptance of others (and yourself) are all present.
When out of alignment, you can experience poor circulation, high or low blood pressure, co-dependence, manipulative behaviors, and feelings of unworthiness.
My intention behind today is for you to discover that:
In any relationship, those with potent Heart Chakra are considered to be among the most stable since they consider the feelings of each other. However when imbalance in this chakra occurs, caring about others, which is prevalent in their mind, includes worrying about everybody. In a way this could also create multiple paths of suffering. Feelings of guilt and feeling over responsible to help other achieve happiness and even the ability to sacrifice their own happiness or relationships in favor of others.
Compassion! & I invite you to set your intention on love, unity and compassion for you, your body, your thoughts and others. Those you love, those you know, those you fear, those you may not know, and all creation.
Meditation 4
Find a quiet place, light a candle or burn an incense, listen to calming water sounds, and Join me for a special meditation: “Ocean of the heart”.
Yoga session 4
Highly recommend having blankets and blocks for today’s practice. So please grab your props and meet me on the mat for a heart opening practice.
I would like to leave you to explore what this chakra means to you and how you open your heart chakra and balance this energy. Therefore I have created the below handout for you to explore so many different ways and aspects that you can awaken and heal this space.
Science behind the chakra
The 4th chakra: Anahata – the unstuck. Associated with the thymus gland – just beneath the breastbone. The thymus is important for our immune system: Killer T cells are matured here and taught to recognize cells that are us and foreign bodies that are not us. Right beneath our thymus is a powerful source of energy: the heart. Once a second (a frequency of about 1 hertz), the heart beats and each heartbeat creates a pressure wave that massages the thymus. It is located where it is for a very good reason: it responds to this frequency.
in simple words by awakening and balancing the energy here you are you contribute to stimulating the immune system.
Chanting session 4
Since the 1970s, Herbert Benson, professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and founder of the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine, has been researching how meditation and prayer can alter mental and physical states. He’s been particularly interested in what brings on a meditative state, which he calls “the relaxation response.” Benson has experimented with subjects repeating Sanskrit mantras as well as nonreligious words, such as “one.” He’s found that regardless of what the practitioner repeats, the word or phrase has nearly the same effects: relaxation and the ability to better cope with life’s unexpected stressors. “participants reported that it was relaxing and that they had fewer thoughts.” Helping them achieve the state of relaxation that some may not tap into by simple silent meditation.
The below Mantra has been specifically chosen for this day as the meaning behind the lyrics is: Peace
Traditionally, a Shanti mantra ends with three recitations of "Shanti", which is believed to remove obstacles and calm the three reals: Physical, Divine, and Internal.
Chanted by my talented friend Steffi Bichweiler, her voice leads you to feel strong vibrations. Simply enjoy listening or join and sing along with her!
Lastly…
“The wound is the place where the Light enters you”.
“What hurts you, blesses you. Darkness is your candle.”
“Grief can be the garden of compassion. If you keep your heart open through everything, your pain can become your greatest ally in your life’s search for love and wisdom.”
“You have to keep breaking your heart until it opens.”_ Rumi
Often I cannot help but shed a tear every-time I read that poem.
Take some time to let that poem and everything else sink in and if you are feeling inspired to journal about your experience and jot down your feelings, questions, thoughts I would like to leave you with the following prompt:
4) Tell the people in your life what you’re standing to create. Let them help you
Often we tend to curl up in our own little corner trying to protect ourselves, because we have had our hearts broken and we fear that will repeat.
Instead lead with your heart and let it shine, be open to the magic of how things can unfold. Say yes to opportunities that are put before you, even if they scare you. Does a friend want to set you up on a blind date? Say yes! Are you invited to join an online book club that you might not have had interest in before? Say yes! You never know how you might meet the people who’ll help make your vision come to life.
